Our profile

The owner established a customs brokerage company in 2015, focused on customs clearance and some domestic forwarding services. Over the years, he saw the potential in the industry: the rising demand for international freight forwarding and other logistics services.

To better serve his valued clients and the developing industry, he founded JCAVS Freight Forwarding Inc., a corporation, in 2018. The company now mainly handles international air and sea freight forwarding (import and export), air and sea customs clearance, inland trucking, domestic forwarding and other related logistics services.

JCAVS Freight Forwarding Inc. is composed of highly motivated professionals with over 10 years of training and knowledge in NVOCC, international multimodal transport, customs clearance and domestic forwarding. We believe that teamwork within our group and with our international and local counterparts gives our clients the best quality of service at competitive rates. Types of packages for general cargo

The type of packaging required varies with the commodity and the mode of transport used. These are the most common types used in shipping.

Incoterms® 2020

Incoterms® 2020 are pre-defined commercial terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). They define the responsibilities of buyers and sellers in international trade and how costs and risks are allocated between them. Incoterms® 2020 took effect on 1 January 2020. The most important changes from Incoterms® 2010

DAT (Delivered at Terminal) is changed to DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded), so any agreed location can be the destination, not only a terminal.

FCA (Free Carrier) now has the option of an on-board notation on the bill of lading before loading. The buyer can instruct their carrier to issue the seller an on-board bill of lading after loading, which the seller then hands to the buyer.

CIP now requires insurance with at least the cover of Institute Cargo Clauses (A), all risks subject to itemised exclusions. CIF requires at least Institute Cargo Clauses (C), a number of listed risks.

FCA, DAP, DPU and DDP now take into account that goods may be moved with the seller's or buyer's own transport, without a third-party carrier.

Incoterms® 2020 explicitly shifts responsibility for security-related requirements and ancillary costs to the seller.
